Role Description
The VP, Head of Infrastructure and Engineering is responsible for the implementation and operations of all technology infrastructure which includes:
- Service Desk
- Desktop support
- Network
- WAN
- Server services
- File stores
- Routers
- Firewalls
- Azure and other cloud services
- M365
- SharePoint
- Mobile/landline/VOIP telephony
- ITSM Platform
This position is operationally responsible for ensuring the security, availability, integrity, and confidentiality for IT infrastructure. The role includes:
- Leading the technology infrastructure strategy, roadmap, and execution for the enterprise.
- Planning, project management, and implementation leadership.
- Identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
- Providing infrastructure services vision and enabling innovation.
- Conducting product and vendor evaluations.
- Managing strategic vendor partner relationships.
- Participating in the formulation of the company's enterprise architecture and business system plans.
- Hands-on technical depth for complex infrastructure implementation and operational troubleshooting.
- Managing Infrastructure budget.
- Leadership for delivery of 24/7 service operations and KPI compliance.
Qualifications
- 15 years of work experience with a BS/MS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, Science or Math, or at least 12+ years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA)
- Professional Level English fluency both verbal and written
- 12+ years IT Infrastructure experience
- 10+ years leadership experience
- 5+ years experience leading remote teams, including outside of the US
- Ability to independently transform complex business needs into well-articulated plans
- Experience with end-to-end project management
- Experience in an acquisitive organization
- Demonstrated success leading a direct team in a rapidly growing organization
- Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment
- Extensive experience with Azure and the Microsoft infrastructure stack including O365
- Experience defining and implementing ITIL processes
- Experience with regulatory compliance issues and best practices in application and network security
- Highly collaborative with a high level of attention to detail
Requirements
- Experience leading both build and run
- Demonstrated experience leading an organization through significant change
- Operates effectively with many stakeholders throughout the business
- Easy to do business with and effectively negotiates commitments
- Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations
- Experience with highly available network architecture and supporting SAAS implementations
