[Hiring] VP, Client Delivery @Attivo Partners

Role Description

The VP, Client Delivery is a senior, hands-on leader accountable for the quality, consistency, and profitability of the finance and accounting work Attivo provides to its portfolio of VC-backed, high-growth clients. This role pairs leadership of our client service teams with VP Finance-level technical expertise.

• Oversee all client engagements to ensure work is on time, in scope, and meets quality standards.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for client executives.
• Act as the firm's senior technical finance resource.
• Lead and develop the team, including ownership of all Learning & Development.
• Take day-to-day oversight, escalations, and staffing decisions off partners' plates.

Responsibilities

• Client Delivery & Quality Oversight (~30%)
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery across all Attivo client accounts.
  • Serve as the final reviewer and approver of key client deliverables.
  • Track delivery KPIs such as quality, timeliness, utilization, and client health.
  • Identify delivery risks early and address them proactively.
• Client Relationships & Escalations (~25%)
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for delivery issues.
  • Lead difficult conversations about scope, budget, and quality.
  • Partner with Attivo CFOs and partners on client engagements.
  • Maintain a small portfolio of client engagements.
• Technical Finance Leadership (~20%)
  • Serve as the senior technical resource for the team.
  • Build and review financial models, cash and runway forecasts, and KPI dashboards.
  • Make day-to-day technical accounting judgments.
  • Lead financial audits and oversee compliance filings.
• Team Management, Development & Process Improvement (~15%)
  • Manage the delivery team, including the Client Onboarding Lead and the Resource Manager.
  • Coach and develop team members.
  • Turn ad hoc work into standard, repeatable delivery processes.
  • Work with the team on resourcing models and service improvements.
• Learning & Development (~10%)
  • Collaborate on Learning & Development initiatives.
  • Assist in building a consistent, high-impact program.
  • Occasionally lead or present at internal training sessions.
• Additional Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with partners and business development team.
  • Interview and assess candidates for delivery and accounting roles.
  • Identify emerging client needs and trends.
  • Participate in firm initiatives.
  • Act as a visible leader and culture carrier for a remote team.
  • Contribute to content, webinars, or industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• CPA (active or inactive) and/or MBA or master's in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred.
• Hands-on ownership of finance at the VP Finance or Controller level in early-stage, VC-backed companies.
• Experience leading client delivery for a portfolio of clients at a professional services or consulting firm.
• 5+ years managing mid-to-large teams.
• Full people-leadership responsibility.
• Track record delivering strategic finance for VC-backed companies.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Understanding of engagement economics.
• Experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks Online; advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling.
