Role Description
The Volunteer Management VISTA will enhance the organization's capacity to engage volunteers effectively, coordinate corporate volunteer events, and improve data collection for program reporting. This role will support AmeriCorps VISTA members in understanding and utilizing volunteer data while fostering strong relationships between volunteers and community programs.
- Plan and coordinate corporate volunteer engagement events to support community initiatives
- Develop partnerships with corporate and community stakeholders to enhance volunteer opportunities
- Assist in creating outreach materials and event logistics for volunteer engagement
- Visit school sites and events as needed to gain familiarity with program activities and support volunteer engagement
- Assist in gathering and tracking volunteer participation data for reporting purposes
- Support VISTA members in understanding the demographics and impact of their volunteers
- Work with program staff to develop systems for tracking volunteer participation
- Assist in compiling reports on volunteer engagement metrics for internal and external stakeholders
- Support efforts to improve data accuracy and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of starting service
- Must hold one of the following citizenship or legal residency statuses: US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card status), and persons legally residing within a state
- Must pass a background check
- Must submit a TB test and proof of COVID vaccination
Requirements
- Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week for one year
- Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend commitments as needed
