Role Description

As a Virtual Assistant at Teem, you'll be a flexible, dependable extension of the practice team, supporting patients, providers, and office operations across a range of responsibilities. This is a broad, hybrid role that blends:

• Patient communication
• Scheduling
• Clinical documentation support
• Administrative assistance
• Billing or insurance tasks

Virtual Assistants are cross-trained generalists: the specific mix of responsibilities will vary by client placement, but every Virtual Assistant should be comfortable moving between patient-facing communication, back-office administrative work, and detail-driven documentation.

Your work ensures smooth operations and a dependable, welcoming experience for every patient and provider you support.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in customer service, call center, front desk, medical scribing, administrative, or medical billing/insurance roles (healthcare preferred)
• Sales or lead generation experience is a plus
• Strong verbal and written English communication
• Empathy, emotional intelligence, and a patient-focused mindset
• Proficiency in medical terminology is a plus for placements with clinical documentation
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Tech-savvy with CRM systems, EMR/EHR systems, Microsoft 365, and scheduling or billing software
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities across responsibilities
• Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional training in customer service, healthcare, administration, or billing is a plus)
