Role Description

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. The position is for a Music & Lyrics Expert - Vietnamese, which is a contract role with the following details:

• Compensation: $18/hour
• Location: Remote
• Duration: Up to 6 months
• Commitment: 20+ hours/week

Role Responsibilities:

• Evaluate AI-generated music across various genres and rate it against detailed quality standards in both Vietnamese and English.
• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities.
• Rate lyrics based on quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and originality.
• Evaluate whether lyrics sound natural, including word choice, slang, and regional expressions.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Vietnamese.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
• Experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist.
• Knowledge of the Vietnamese music scene.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.

Requirements

• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition (preferred).
• Credited or published songwriting work (preferred).
• Broad familiarity with contemporary Vietnamese genres, sub-genres, and artists (preferred).
