Role Description

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Strategic Nuclear Arms Control Subject Matter Expert (SME) at GDIT. You’ll be at the leading edge of advising the Defense Threat Reduction agency on the implementation of strategic arms control activities related to the New START Treaty and other arms control treaties and agreements. HOW A STRATEGIC NUCLEAR ARMS CONTROL SME WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Analyzes, defines, and develops national security information regarding various weapon expertise and how they impact the country's safety
• Work with the DTRA leadership and representatives from other government agencies in the arms control community
• Analyze the impact of treaties and agreements on national security objectives
• Advise DTRA on implementation of programs and plans related to treaties and agreements
• Provide technical advice to US government arms control community

Qualifications

• Education: Masters of Arts or Science
• Required Experience: 15+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills: Must have 5 or more years of experience directly supporting the New START implementation through arms control interagency liaison activities
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
• Required Skills and Abilities: Strong analytic and communications skills
• Preferred Skills: Expertise in US-Russia relations
• Location: Remote
• US Citizenship Required due to the TS/SCI clearance
