[Hiring] Sourcing Leader @GE Aerospace

Role Description

Due to ongoing growth, we are exploring the addition of a Sourcing Leader to support our expanding needs, with the role potentially based in one of several European locations across Europe.

The role is to negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies, achieve the best contractual conditions while ensuring internal customer satisfaction, and interpret internal and external business challenges to recommend best practices for improvement.

• Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.
• Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
• Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
• Manage claims, including commercial sourcing management such as data analysis and negotiations support.
• May include purchasing activities.
• Senior professional with direct reports and 2nd line reports.
• Ability to attract and retain talent; manages medium to large teams.
• Developing expertise within function and growing reputation within the organization.
• Influences policy and ensures delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization.
• Ability to lead functional teams or projects with moderate to high resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
• Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area.
• Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others.
• Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.
• Has major influence on small business units, segments within a larger business unit, or a P&L business segment.
• Ownership/influence over budgets; guided by functional policy.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Sourcing Management at a high level and exposure.
• Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED).

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
• Established project management skills.
• Experience in the Aerospace sector is considered desirable.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
