Role Description

• Performs implementation services that may include:
  • Design
  • Architecture analysis
  • Deployment
  • Troubleshooting
  • Configuration
  • Upgrades
  • Migrations
  • Network engineering
• Assists leadership with strategy and develops technical roadmaps for future Networking & Security services (e.g., Route/Switch, Cloud WAN, SDWAN, SASE, etc.)
• Serves as the technical lead and subject matter expert on customer projects/workshops and is accountable for the project outcomes
• Collects, produces, and updates deployment and design documentation
• Develops, updates, and continually improves Network & Security Service offerings
• Acts as a trusted advisor for technical sales teams, assists with opportunity discovery, participates in customer solution/engagement scoping, and sales enablement efforts
• Assists sales/pre-sales teams in identifying and closing opportunities through customer meetings and presentations
• Identifies, develops, and documents best practices/recommendations (people/process/technology), and assists with strategy & roadmap planning
• Effectively communicates findings and recommendations to technical and executive customer stakeholders through written deliverables and verbal presentations
• Evangelizes SHI Network & Security Service Offerings across SHI and Partner community through webinars, meetups, and conferences
• Develops reports, lessons learned, presentations, and supporting documentation for both customer engagements and internal discussions
• Stays current on new technology, trends, and market behavior by studying market trends and the industry landscape
• Obtains applicable technical certifications, directed by annual professional development plans & leadership

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Expertise in solution design across enterprise systems, integration platforms, and data layers
• Strong background in system security, data privacy, and compliance
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented language
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks
• Proficient in software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps)
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Technical degree, or related work experience (Network Engineering / Computer Science / etc.)
• Minimum 5-7 years of technical experience with increasing responsibility
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience consulting, designing, implementing, and integrating Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, and other Networking technologies (e.g., Cloud WAN / SDWAN / SASE / etc.)
• Combined experience as Network Consultant, Operations, and Administration
• Proficiency with the design, implementation, and configuration of Cisco, Palo Alto, and Cloud networking & security solutions (e.g., Cloud WAN, SDWAN, SASE, etc.)
• Available to travel to client sites upon reasonable request
• Preferred certifications:
  • Cisco – CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
  • Cloud Networking Certifications (AWS / Azure)
  • Palo Alto – PCNSE
