Role Description

Acrisure is seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster to independently manage complex Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims from assignment through resolution. This role is responsible for:

• Investigating claims, determining compensability, evaluating exposure, managing reserves and litigation, and developing claim resolution strategies in accordance with Pennsylvania workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Independently managing a caseload of Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims from assignment through resolution.
• Reviewing medical documentation, coverage, and claim exposure in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations.
• Establishing and maintaining appropriate reserves based on claim developments.
• Managing complex indemnity and litigated claims, including settlement negotiations.
• Coordinating with defense counsel, medical providers, employers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring claim activity, maintaining accurate diaries, and ensuring timely follow-up.
• Coordinating return-to-work efforts and identifying opportunities for cost containment, subrogation, or fraud investigation.
• Maintaining complete and accurate documentation within the claims management system.
• Performing additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience handling Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims required.
• Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania workers' compensation laws, regulations, and claims handling practices required.
• Experience managing complex indemnity claims required.
• Experience developing claim resolution strategies and negotiating settlements required.
• Delaware workers' compensation claims experience highly valued.
• Experience handling litigated workers' compensation claims strongly preferred.
• New Jersey workers' compensation claims experience considered an asset.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple complex claims in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional workers' compensation education, claims training, or industry certifications helpful.
