[Hiring] Senior Wage Compliance Specialist @SOLV Energy

Role Description

The Senior Prevailing Wage Compliance Specialist will serve as an integral component for prevailing wage, employee classification title, description, and duties, ensuring SOLV Energy’s compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. This role provides advanced compliance oversight for complex, regulated utility scale construction projects and functions as the escalation resource, subject matter expert, and accountability owner for prevailing wage compliance performance nationally across all geographic regions.

This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgment, responsible for ensuring consistent execution of labor compliance standards, audit readiness, and regulatory adherence across all assigned projects and personnel associated with SOLV Energy. This role is fully remote and may require travel to SOLV Energy offices or jobsites.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience, training, and demonstrated labor compliance expertise.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in compliance on federal/state funded construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience serving in a lead, senior, or supervisory capacity.
• Advanced, working knowledge of federal/state labor laws and regulations.
• Proven expertise in prevailing wage enforcement, certified payroll auditing, and labor compliance investigations.
• Experience managing compliance activities across multiple projects and geographic regions.
• High level of professional judgment, discretion, and integrity.
• High proficiency with labor compliance and payroll monitoring systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Provide overall labor compliance leadership for all national geographic regions.
• Independently manage complex prevailing wage compliance obligations.
• Review, analyze, and audit all DOL classification requests and supporting documentation.
• Interpret and apply complex labor compliance requirements.
• Conduct proactive compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Serve as point of contact for client, third-party, and government audits.
• Monitor regulatory changes and provide expert guidance.
• Assist as an escalation point and technical resource for the Prevailing Wage Compliance Program.
• Participate in regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings.
• Maintain overall visibility of all SOLV potential and awarded projects.
• Review public and private contracts for labor compliance requirements.
• Issue formal requests for missing, corrected, or revised documentation.
• Familiar with labor compliance systems to review, approve, and manage certified payroll submissions.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of labor compliance records.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready digital file documentation.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with all SOLV clients and stakeholders.
• Perform other related compliance and leadership duties as assigned.
