[Hiring] Senior Regional Advocate @Evergreen Action

Role Description

Evergreen is seeking a full-time Senior Regional Advocate to lead our work at the PJM Interconnection, and surrounding Mid-Atlantic states to advance the organization’s climate and clean energy goals.

• Work closely with the Eastern States and Power Policy teams.
• Lead or co-lead state-based coalitions focused on PJM advocacy.
• Engage with key Governor’s office staff and state legislators.
• Coordinate closely with external technical experts.
• Represent Evergreen in external-facing venues, including engagement with environmental NGOs, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and PJM.
• Support legislative and regulatory engagement.
• Conduct policy research.
• Design and implement Evergreen’s PJM advocacy strategy.
• Help translate complex policy issues into effective advocacy strategies and communications.

Qualifications

• Experience working in or around state government wholesale markets.
• Experience in policy or advocacy campaigns.
• Mission-driven advocate.
