[Hiring] Senior Industry Consultant @MongoDB

Role Description

We are looking for passionate technologists to join our growing Industry Solutions Team (IST), a remote/flexible, globally-dispersed team. Our objective is to align MongoDB AI platform with industry specific solutions.

• Understand enterprise clients and their needs to modernize software legacies.
• Guide clients through continuous data-driven modernization.
• Communicate the direction of MongoDB’s platform to customers and industry partner communities through various channels (e.g., webinars, client presentations, blog content, video content, live/virtual events, demos, account support).
• Engage directly with clients’ senior executives to demonstrate how MongoDB addresses their industry needs, wants, and pain points.
• Work closely with multiple teams, including marketing, product, pre-sales, sales enablement, and sales teams.
• Focus primarily on the North and Latin American market, with some support for Europe and Middle East (EMEA).
• Location: Toronto, Canada, with about 30% travel across North America and globally.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years in the Healthcare Sector (Lifesciences, clinical data, insurance) directly or in a consultative form; candidates with less experience but exceptional expertise may be considered.
• Strong programming/software engineering skills for demo development.
• Deep expertise in clinical data structures (openEHR, Snomed, FHIR) and the US healthcare system.
• Expertise in technical architecture, solution design, and delivering complex technical solutions at scale.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to visualize and communicate complex information to all levels of an organization.
• Ability to discuss a broad range of data technologies (e.g., RDBMS, document, key-value, unstructured, noSQL, JSON).
• A proactive, self-starter with the drive to learn new skills and become an expert in that field.
• Ability to travel up to 30% globally for conferences, clients, team events, etc.
• Strong English language skills; Spanish is an advantage.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline (ideally).
• Experience in addressing data-related challenges in unifying standards, advanced data analytics, AI applications, or similar specialized areas in the Healthcare sector.
• Knowledge of latest innovations and emerging trends within the Healthcare sector.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles for various use cases in the industry.
• In-depth understanding of database schema design principles and database programming.
• Experience with definition of standards, participation in forums, councils, steering committees is a strong advantage.
