[Hiring] Senior GTM Engineer @SalesCaptain

Role Description

Join the GTM Revolution at SalesCaptain — Where B2B Growth Happens. Since our beginnings in 2021, SalesCaptain has grown into a global force, working with fast-growing B2B brands, YC & Techstars startups, and Series B/C companies, helping them go to market through predictable, scalable outbound systems.

We're looking for a Senior GTM Engineer to own and evolve our outbound revenue infrastructure across client accounts. This is a hands-on senior role sitting at the intersection of data, automation, AI, deliverability, intent signals, and outbound strategy. Beyond building systems yourself, you’ll help set technical standards, introduce new GTM technologies, and mentor other team members. This is a full-time, remote role working EU hours.

You’ll work closely with GTM Strategists, Campaign Managers, and other GTM Engineers to architect scalable outbound systems from ICP definition through campaign execution and reporting.

You’ll own complex Clay workflows, data infrastructure, intent and signal-based targeting, automation, and deliverability — while continuously testing new AI and GTM tools that can improve our results.

We’re looking for someone who can not only build great systems, but also lead technically, challenge existing processes, and help raise the standard of the wider team.

What you’ll do ✨

• Architect end-to-end outbound systems, from ICP and TAM definition through enrichment, sequencing, CRM sync, and performance reporting.
• Build and optimize advanced Clay workflows, including enrichment waterfalls, Claygent, AI columns, conditional logic, and custom API integrations.
• Own and improve email deliverability infrastructure, including domains, inbox health, sending infrastructure, authentication, reputation, and scaling best practices.
• Design intent and signal-based outbound systems using signals such as job changes, funding, hiring activity, website intent, technology adoption, social activity, and other buying signals.
• Build automation workflows with n8n, Make, Zapier, APIs, and webhooks.
• Use AI and LLMs to improve prospect research, qualification, personalization, data processing, and campaign workflows.
• Continuously explore and test new AI and GTM technologies, identifying tools and approaches that can give SalesCaptain and our clients an advantage.
• Write lightweight Python or JavaScript and work directly with APIs when no-code tools aren’t enough.
• Partner with GTM Strategists to improve targeting, campaign architecture, and outbound performance.
• Establish best practices and documentation for GTM engineering workflows.
• Mentor junior and mid-level GTM Engineers, review workflows, troubleshoot complex problems, and help the team develop technically.
• Proactively identify inefficient processes and design better, more scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in GTM Engineering, RevOps, outbound operations, growth engineering, or a closely related role.
• Strong hands-on experience building outbound systems in a B2B SaaS, GTM agency, consultancy, or fast-moving technology environment.
• Advanced experience with Clay, including complex enrichment workflows, Claygent, AI columns, waterfalls, and APIs.
• Strong understanding of email deliverability, sending infrastructure, domain reputation, authentication, and inbox health.
• Experience designing campaigns around intent data and buying signals, rather than relying only on static prospect lists.
• Strong knowledge of the modern GTM tooling ecosystem and genuine curiosity around emerging AI and automation tools.
• Comfort working with APIs, webhooks, JSON, automation platforms, and basic Python or JavaScript.
• A strong commercial mindset — you understand ICPs, messaging, outbound performance, pipeline, and why targeting decisions matter.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design systems rather than simply execute predefined tasks.
• Experience mentoring, supporting, or reviewing the work of other team members.
• Excellent English communication skills (C1–C2), with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with Tech, SaaS, or B2B software companies.

What good looks like

• GTM Strategists trust the systems and data you build without needing to recheck everything.
• Our outbound infrastructure remains scalable, reliable, and deliverability-safe.
• Intent signals help us identify better prospects and improve campaign timing.
• Clay and automation workflows are clean, efficient, documented, and cost-effective.
• You regularly introduce new AI, automation, and GTM approaches that improve how the team works.
• You identify problems before they become bottlenecks.
• Other GTM Engineers improve through your mentoring and technical guidance.
• You help the team move faster while maintaining a high standard of data and execution quality.

This role is not for you if

• You have never used Clay or similar GTM automation tools.
• Your outbound experience is limited to basic LinkedIn scraping or list building.
• You have little understanding of email deliverability.
• You prefer executing instructions rather than designing systems and proposing improvements.
• You are not interested in experimenting with new AI and GTM technologies.
• You are uncomfortable taking ownership of complex technical problems.
• You do not enjoy mentoring or sharing knowledge with other team members.

Benefits

• Remote work.
• Collaborative, friendly, and ambitious team.
• Paid vacation, days off, and sick leave.
• Team-building activities.
• Free books and Kindles to support your development.
• Specialized training and access to leading GTM tools.
• Opportunity to work with international B2B brands, startups, and scaleups.
• Hands-on exposure to emerging AI, automation, data, and GTM technologies.
• Significant autonomy to experiment, introduce new tools, and influence how our GTM infrastructure evolves.
• Opportunity to mentor others and play a key role in developing the GTM Engineering function.
