Role Description
VRIFY is seeking an accomplished Senior Geoscientific Database Manager to support the geological data governance and domain expertise for our geoscientific data infrastructure. This pivotal role will focus on establishing industry-standard geological data models, validation frameworks, and domain-specific data management practices.
- Key domain expert in ensuring geological databases adhere to industry best practices
- Support advanced analytics capabilities
- Define geological data standards, validation rules, and quality control processes
- Collaborate with geoscientists, data engineers, and ML teams
- Drive the adoption of industry best practices in geoscientific data collection, validation, and management
- Establish standardized workflows for complex geological data types
- Foster a culture of geological data excellence
- Guide the evolution of geological data standards
- Ensure scientific accuracy across multiple domains
- Enable reliable AI applications in mineral exploration
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in geological data management
- Extensive experience with mining industry database systems and standards
- Proven track record of implementing geological data governance frameworks
- Degree in Geology, Database Management, or related field
- Expert knowledge of geological database systems (acQuire GIMS)
- Strong experience with spatial databases and GIS platforms
- Extensive experience with mining industry data standards
- Deep understanding of geological data models and standards
- Expertise in data quality management and validation frameworks
- Knowledge of geochemical and geophysical data management
- Understanding of 3D geological modeling requirements
- Experience with cloud-based database systems
