As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical knowledge of electrical circuits, fundamental electronic design, and electrical theory, while also gaining valuable knowledge and experience in the Traffic industry, particularly with NEMA traffic cabinets.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also need to be familiar with many of Econolite's product lines and have some software experience. As a high-level architect of traffic cabinet designs, you will play a vital role in shaping our company's future.

We are seeking someone who has excellent communication skills, personal management, and prioritizing skills, and who is excited about working within a close team environment. In return, you will have the opportunity to interface with many Econolite Sales Personnel, Distributors, and customers throughout the United States, Canada, and some international agencies.

Duties

• Read and interpret customer bid documents, specifications, and intersection plans.
• Convert customer specifications/special provisions and requirements into a complete estimated quotation for sales to be able to quote the specific bid or customer request.
• Ensure that all technical questions about the request are asked and answered for an accurate quotation.
• Using our Agile software system, open a quote ECO, create a bill of materials for the intended cabinet, and perform costing activities to obtain the total estimated cost of the cabinet.
• Create a formal quotation letter using a template.
• Communicate the information needed for cabinet engineering to review the documents provided for production documents.
• Participate in communication from cabinet engineering and production about the cabinet quotation and the information therein.
• Complete an item card in our D365 ERP system after the quotation is completed for use by sales.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or at least 4 years traffic related work experience in a relevant technical Traffic Signal role.
• Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, plan sheets, bid documents, engineering documents, and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong computer software skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications, such as MS Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
• Basic AutoCad skills are a must.

Pre-Employment

Compensation

The base pay range for this full-time exempt position is $75,000-$85,000 per year plus benefits. Pay ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay rates for this position. Within the range, actual individual compensation is determined by various factors, including location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
