Role Description

A Senior ESOP Strategy Consultant services our clients by providing forecasts and recommendations in the operation of their ESOP.

This role can be fully remote, or you can choose to work in one of our offices: Charlottesville, VA, Columbia, MD, Columbus, OH, Westchester, IL or Maple Grove, MN.

The primary role for this position is the preparation of ESOP repurchase obligation studies, which includes:
- Discussing assumptions used in the study
- Reviewing results with client
- Providing consulting on managing repurchase obligation solutions
The Strategy Consultant may also:
- Assist with new ESOP pre-transaction consulting and plan re-engineering
- Assist the Business Development Team – attending proposal meetings and calls with prospects
- Participate in internal and external speaking opportunities (internal training sessions, client webinars, and ESOP conferences)
- Write articles for publication

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
6+ years retirement industry experience with strong background in ESOP knowledge
Possess or working towards CPA, QKA, QPA, or equivalent certification is highly desirable

Requirements

Excellent written/oral communication, organization, and client service skills required
Strong time management skills
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Ability to work independently and set priorities with minimal supervision while effectively managing a large project list
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Maintain professional working relationships with internal and external clients
Interpret ESOP legal documents
