Role Description
GeneDx is seeking an ABGC board certified Senior Clinical Scientist to join our Clinical Genetics team. The Senior Clinical Scientist independently reviews and qualifies variants identified by exome and genome sequencing, using proprietary software and semi-automated workflows, in a team environment, following established policies and procedures.
- Works with a team of molecular, clinical, cytogenetic and biochemical geneticists, genetic counselors, and bioinformaticians
- Performs clinical data analysis and case management
- Establishes phenotype-genotype links
- Reviews a large spectrum of genetic disorders
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited Genetic Counseling program
- 2+ years experience in a clinical diagnostics laboratory setting preferred
- Previous experience with variant curation is preferred
- Appropriate judgment as it pertains to diagnostic and predictive testing, as well as excellent time management and communication skills
Requirements
- Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or equivalent
Work Environment
- Sunday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Saturday, 9 - 5pm Eastern
- Remote environment
Pay Transparency, Budgeted Range
$105,000 — $120,000 USD
