Role Description

Senior SAP FICO Architect with full-suite FI/CO expertise and S/4HANA Finance implementation depth.

This is a senior architect role leading the full SAP FICO workstream across implementation, rollout and enhancement programmes. You will be the functional authority for finance and controlling design — owning everything from GL and asset accounting through product costing, COPA and cross-module integration.

• Lead end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, rollouts and system enhancements across greenfield, brownfield and rollout project types.
• Gather business requirements and design finance solutions that align technical configuration with business goals and compliance obligations.
• Drive financial process improvement and automation initiatives across the finance function.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, finance teams and auditors to validate designs and ensure statutory accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP and applicable local accounting regulations across all financial configurations.
• Lead data migration, cutover planning and go-live support activities.
• Lead teams, mentor junior consultants and prepare functional specifications, documentation and training materials.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in SAP FICO across global implementations.

Technical Capability Required

• Financial Accounting — FI
  • General Ledger: chart of accounts design, document splitting, parallel ledgers and Universal Journal (ACDOCA) in S/4HANA.
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: payment terms, dunning, payment runs, clearing and reconciliation.
  • Asset Accounting: New Asset Accounting in S/4HANA, depreciation areas, parallel valuation and asset lifecycle management.
  • Bank Accounting: house bank configuration, bank statement processing, cash management and payment factory setup.
  • Financial closing: period-end and year-end closing processes, financial statement versions and statutory reporting.
• Controlling — CO
  • Cost Centre Accounting: cost centre hierarchy design, planning, allocation cycles and reporting.
  • Profit Centre Accounting: profit centre structure, derivation rules and segment reporting.
  • Internal Orders: order types, settlement rules, budgeting and variance reporting.
  • Product Costing: standard cost estimates, cost object controlling, WIP calculation, variance analysis and settlement.
  • COPA: both costing-based and account-based COPA design, value flow mapping and profitability reporting.
• Cross-Module Integration
  • MM integration: procurement-to-payables account determination, GR/IR management and invoice verification flows.
  • SD integration: revenue recognition, billing to FI posting and customer credit management.
  • PP integration: production order costing, activity confirmation and manufacturing cost flows into CO.
  • Interface experience: IDocs, APIs, EDI and CPI/PI/PO middleware for financial data exchange.
  • E-invoicing, GST, VAT and global tax compliance configuration experience.
• S/4HANA Finance & Platform
  • Hands-on S/4HANA Finance experience across greenfield, brownfield and rollout project types.
  • Universal Journal and ACDOCA: understanding of the S/4HANA single-table architecture and its impact on finance design.
  • SAP Fiori apps for Finance: awareness of key Fiori applications used in financial operations and reporting.
  • Basic ABAP debugging capability for issue resolution and enhancement review.
  • Exposure to Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) within S/4HANA.
