Role Description

For our Department Digital - Security, we are looking for an SAP and Application Security Officer (f/m/d). The role is based at our Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany, and reports to the position Head of Security Office. Heidelberg Material is embarking on a global journey significantly shaping the digital future of this Fortune 500 enterprise.

Safeguard HM's 'Rise with SAP' program including S4/HANA & BTP technologies and standalone applications, focusing on Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Develop, implement, and ensure global adoption of HM’s SAP and application security frameworks
Foster a security-by-design and security-by-default mindset within the HM’s Digital team
Identify potential risks and attack vectors, and design mitigation measures
Design and integrate mitigation measures and security controls into the Security Operation Center (SOC)
Collaborate closely with HM’s Digital teams, global functions, and stakeholders such as Legal and Data Protection teams

Qualifications

Proven track record in roles such as Information Security Officer or SAP Security Consultant
Experience in developing and implementing SAP Security Policies and procedures is a plus
Knowledge of state-of-the-art SAP security best practices or a strong passion to learn about them
Strong self-starter mentality with a willingness to take end-to-end ownership of topics, programs, or projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound risk-based decisions
Strong presentation and communication skills tailored to the target audience
Desire to learn, adapt, and regularly participate in continuing education
Fluency in German and English
