[Hiring] Risk UX Specialist @Mercury

Role Description

As a Risk User Experience Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

• Responding to transaction limit request increases from high and moderate risk users.
• Reviewing Overlimit transactions through a dedicated queue.
• Reviewing and decisioning remote check deposits submitted by users.
• Managing a high-volume caseload within service level agreements.
• Responding to Risk support requests related to limit increases and other inquiries.
• Partnering with the BPO team for escalated reviews.
• Documenting rationale for risk decisions.
• Writing clear documentation on current processes and training future teammates.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes through tooling changes.
• Maintaining a positive user experience while mitigating potential fraud loss.

Qualifications

• Experience working in banking, fintech, or other financial services.
• 2-3 years of experience in the risk space.
• Product sense and knowledge of banking products (e.g., ACH, International Wires, SWIFT, checks, and debit card).
• Empathy and understanding when communicating with users.
• Ability to manage relationships with external parties confidently.
• Generalist approach to assessing various types of risk.
• Efficiency and focus in work.
• Clarity and purpose in writing.
• Ability to prioritize requests and track follow-ups.
• Passion for problem-solving and improving efficiency.

Requirements

• Ability to work weekends in addition to weekdays.
• Full-time schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 8am-5pm local time.
• Fixed working schedule (not a rotating shift).

• US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $75,900 — $85,400 USD.
• US employees outside of those areas: $68,300 — $76,900 USD.
