Role Description

We are sharing a specialised remote consulting opportunity for experienced Retail Trade and Operations Professionals with strong expertise in retail management, sales supervision, customer service, operational workflows, and industry compliance to contribute their practical knowledge to advanced AI training and evaluation initiatives.

Selected professionals will:

• Review realistic retail scenarios
• Evaluate operational decisions
• Assess industry-specific workflows
• Provide structured expert feedback on AI-generated content

The work combines hands-on retail experience with operational analysis, industry standards, problem-solving, and quality evaluation to help improve the accuracy, reasoning, and practical relevance of advanced AI systems.

Professionals from retail supervision, pharmacy operations, general management, and retail investigation backgrounds are welcome. Prior experience with AI training projects is not required.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on professional experience in retail trade, retail operations, or a directly relevant specialisation
• Substantial practical knowledge of retail workflows, operational procedures, or industry-specific business practices
• Professional experience as a Retail Sales Supervisor, Store Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager, or related retail professional
• Experience in pharmacy operations, retail investigations, loss prevention, or other relevant retail subdomains is also welcomed
• Strong understanding of retail management, day-to-day business operations, and customer-facing processes
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate operational scenarios and identify realistic, effective approaches to practical business problems
• Experience implementing, supervising, or advising on retail operating procedures and industry best practices
• Familiarity with relevant retail compliance requirements, professional standards, and operational responsibilities
• Strong understanding of sales processes, customer service practices, and frontline employee supervision
• Ability to review written descriptions of retail workflows for clarity, accuracy, and practical relevance
• Experience evaluating operational case studies, business procedures, or scenario-based decision-making
• Strong analytical reasoning, critical-thinking, and practical problem-solving capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to identify inconsistencies, incomplete information, and inaccurate operational assumptions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex retail processes clearly
• Experience creating operational documentation, training materials, professional feedback, or procedural guidance is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, realistic, and well-structured evaluations
• Experience collaborating with remote or distributed teams is beneficial
• Familiarity with retail management software, technology-driven operational systems, or digital retail platforms is advantageous
• Ability to work independently and provide clear, actionable recommendations based on professional experience
• Prior experience with AI training, model evaluation, or related technology projects is not required

• Compensation: $40–$70/hour

Engagement Details

• At least 5 years of relevant hands-on retail or operational experience
• Eligible backgrounds: Retail supervision, general and operations management, pharmacy operations, retail investigation, and related industry specialisations
• Work will involve evaluating retail scenarios, reviewing operational workflows, assessing AI-generated content, and providing structured expert feedback
• Assignments may address retail operating procedures, sales activities, customer service, business decisions, and industry-specific compliance considerations
• Professionals will apply practical experience to assess the realism, logical consistency, and operational accuracy of AI-generated materials
• Deliverables may include written evaluations, scenario reviews, operational recommendations, and documented technical feedback
• Collaboration may involve retail professionals, operations specialists, and multidisciplinary technical contributors
• Strong written communication and independent analytical capabilities are important for project deliverables
• Previous experience with AI training projects is not required
• Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
