[Hiring] Programme Analyst @UN Women

Role Description

The Programme Analyst provides programme support for the effective implementation of the Elsie Initiative Fund (EIF) Programme by:

• Contributing to the programme implementation and providing close guidance to programme personnel.
• Ensuring that staff are knowledgeable of rules and procedures governing programme finances, donor reporting, and personnel.
• Analyzing results achieved during implementation and supporting appropriate application of systems and procedures.
• Working in close collaboration with the programme and operations team, PSR and UN Women HQ staff, multi and bilateral donors, and fund recipients.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women’s studies, international development, project management, or a related field is required.
• A first-level university degree in combination with at least two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
• A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) is an asset.

Requirements

• At least one year of relevant work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination and/or financial and operations management is required.
• Experience using office software packages, including Word and Excel, spreadsheets and database packages, and web-based management systems is required.
• Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
• Experience in financial management and reporting within UN or multi-partner trust fund contexts is highly desirable.
• Experience in working in the context of UN peace operations is highly desirable.
• Experience coordinating and liaising with government and UN agencies is desirable.
