Role Description

TELUS Health is empowering every person to live their healthiest life. Guided by our vision, we are leveraging the power of our leading edge technology and focusing on the uniqueness of each individual to create the future of health.

Join our fantastic team as we serve as trusted technical partners for our clients, building customized database solutions and providing expert case management support that transforms how organizations administer their benefits programs.

As a Process Improvement Consultant , you’ll serve as both a subject‑matter expert and a strategic change agent, driving standardization, leading new‑product and implementation projects, and championing continuous‑process enhancements across the organization.

What you’ll do

  • Lead process‑standardization initiatives – evaluate current workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and design repeatable, best‑practice processes that increase efficiency and quality.
  • Own end‑to‑end project delivery for new products, system implementations, and major change programs, ensuring schedules, milestones, and deliverables stay on track; proactively alert stakeholders when risks arise.
  • Conduct requirements analysis and solution design – work with business owners and technical teams to translate business needs into streamlined, standardized processes and supporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of process assets – create process maps, SOPs, templates, and reporting dashboards that enable consistent execution and knowledge sharing.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration – partner with operations, IT, product, and compliance groups to align process changes with technology enablement and regulatory requirements.
  • Measure and report improvement outcomes – define key performance indicators, collect data, and present results that demonstrate value‑add (e.g., cycle‑time reduction, error‑rate decline, cost savings).
  • Coach and mentor team members – provide guidance on Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Support change management – develop communication plans, training materials, and rollout strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (any field, though Business, HR, Finance, or related fields are preferred)
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a team

Requirements

  • Self-motivated attitude with genuine desire for professional growth
  • Natural problem-solving abilities and curiosity to understand complex processes
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, learning environment
  • Resilience and positive attitude when facing new challenges
  • Collaborative spirit and willingness to support team members
  • Detail-oriented approach with commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Open mindset for receiving feedback and continuous improvement
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining high standards
  • Professional demeanor and reliability in meeting deadlines
  • Eagerness to develop expertise in benefits administration

Nice to Have

  • Internship or coursework in benefits administration, human resources, or data analysis
  • Previous experience with database management or data processing
  • Familiarity with healthcare or group benefits concepts
  • Experience with project coordination or administrative support roles
  • Knowledge of SQL, data visualization tools, or advanced Excel functions
  • Customer service or client support experience
  • Professional certifications in HR, benefits, or related fields
  • Experience working in a consulting or client services environment
  • Understanding of compliance requirements in benefits administration
  • Bilingual capabilities
