Role Description

Skillsoft’s Professional Services team provides world-class, value-add services that enable our customers to maximize the impact of their learning investment. We are currently seeking a Principal Professional Services Consultant who will execute a portfolio of standard and custom projects across multiple customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Draft or modify a project plan for each project.
• Ensure all projects are completed within scope and to the quality standards required.
• Facilitate live sessions and develop workshops.
• Drive and execute a Customer’s learning strategy.
• Create marketing plans and materials.
• Curate content and build blended learning programs.
• Conduct needs analyses and advise customers on best practices.
• Measure results and report on similar learning and development activities.
• Establish solid rapport and working relationships with all external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of service engagements for Skillsoft clients.
• Establish solid working relationships with internal stakeholders across all areas of the organization.
• Work with account teams to focus on customer-specific program needs.
• Act as a liaison for Skillsoft and provide a communication point of contact.
• Conduct and participate in customer meetings virtually to collect and understand customer business needs.
• Keep up to date on course/curriculum offerings and changes to certification tracks.
• Stay informed on L&D industry trends and best practices.
• Develop and maintain detailed project work plans, completing all deliverables on time and in scope.
• Evaluate project risks and raise to management to develop contingency plans.
• Communicate project status on a weekly basis to management and account team.
• Escalate issues that impact client relationships to Skillsoft management.
• Pursue understanding of the customer's business and learning priorities.
• Participate and follow through on professional development opportunities.
• React to change productively and undertake other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in learning facilitation, leadership development, learning ROI metrics, and/or learning strategy.
• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong experience with virtual and collaboration web tools.
• Advanced level of desktop application skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Access).
• Experience or familiarity with the computer-based training market.
• Familiarity with LMS or LCMS platforms, preferably the integration of learning content with LMS platforms.
• Understanding of foundational principles of adult learning and development.
• Experience with applying L&D theories and methodologies.
• Ability to analyze data to derive meaningful information and insights.
• Excellent customer service and facilitation experience.
• Robust project management, time management, and organizational skills.
• Team player and a strong relationship builder.
• Ability to conduct business in a virtual environment.
