Role Description

This role involves working as a Political Data Intern with WeVote, focusing on supporting American Democracy through technology.

Conduct internet research to confirm and update politician data for 3-4 US states
Track when politicians declare their candidacies
Find voter guides and endorsements from nonprofit groups
Capture candidate and ballot measure endorsements in our social networking application
Spot-check data in all 50 states and research reported data problems
Support the volunteer marketing team with the latest news from the political data world

Qualifications

Attention to detail and passion for clean data
Willingness to work with and support other volunteers
Agreement with WeVote’s Core Values

Requirements

Minimum 3-month commitment
20+ hours per week during work hours (M-F, 8-5 pm)
