Role Description
This position is a 12-month, full-time, tenure-track assignment, with rank determined by the candidate’s experience. The core faculty member will provide engaging clinically-focused and evidence-based learning opportunities for students through online (asynchronous and synchronous) and in-person instructional delivery methods.
- Contribute to curriculum development, student advisement, recruitment, and retention.
- Provide service at the departmental/school, college, university, and community level.
- Involved in building and integrating knowledge for the advancement of the profession and the University.
- Primary teaching responsibilities in the neurologic coursework across the curriculum.
- Secondary teaching responsibilities based on candidates’ areas of interest and expertise and program needs.
- Preference for cardiopulmonary and lifespan content expertise.
- Must be able to travel and stay in the Williamsburg, KY area for designated time periods each semester.
Qualifications
- Academic Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution with demonstrated clinical expertise and teaching experience (Ph.D., EdD, DSc or equivalent); or Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy Degree (DPT) with demonstrated clinical expertise, teaching experience, and current clinical specialist certification through ABPTS.
- Must possess a current unencumbered license to practice physical therapy in Kentucky or be eligible to secure license or compact privilege to practice physical therapy in Kentucky within 90 days of employment start.
- Interest in and ability to use online instructional technologies.
- Strong organizational, communication, decision-making, teamwork, interpersonal, technological, and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Ability to travel for face-to-face teaching in on-campus orientation sessions and lab immersions.
