Role Description

The Oncology Data Specialist maintains an efficient cancer database of all the patients diagnosed and/or treated with cancer in accordance with the American College of Surgeons requirements for Sentara Cancer Network.

Consistently meets productivity goals regarding abstracting.
Responsible for assisting with maintaining annual follow-up of patients accessed to the database.
Involved in case finding.

Qualifications

Associates Level Degree
Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) Certification - National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) within 3 years of hire
2 years of Medical Records Data experience
