Role Description

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. The position is for a Music Production Expert - Bengali, on a contract basis, with a compensation range of $11–$19/hour. The role is remote, lasting up to 6 months, with a commitment of 20+ hours/week.

• Evaluate AI-generated music across genres for musicality, creativity, and production quality.
• Compare songs head-to-head on prompt adherence, vocal quality, and mix quality.
• Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, and vocals.
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals for quality and accuracy against reference material.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Native or near-native proficiency in Bengali.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
• 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.
• Preferred:
• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition.
• Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work.
• Broad familiarity with contemporary Bengali genres, sub-genres, and artists.
