Role Description

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Military Advisor- Operations to join our team in support of critical missions within the United States Department of Defense. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC), with extensive leadership experience and a proven track record of success in military operations within the INDOPACIFIC Command (INDOPACOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR).

The successful candidate will bring strong instructional capabilities and the ability to advise senior military personnel on a variety of strategic, operational, and tactical matters. • Position: Part time/ hourly and remote.
• Travel: This position requires episodic travel to OCONUS locations, often to remote and challenging environments. Expect deployments lasting several weeks to months at a time. Travel may include locations with limited infrastructure and security concerns.

Qualifications

• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• Proven leadership experience in military operations, with a strong background in advising, mentoring, and instructing military personnel.
• Experience with the INDOPACOM AOR, with a deep understanding of the regional security landscape, operational challenges, and strategic goals.
• Instructor experience, with the ability to deliver complex military concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in high-stress environments, both in writing and verbally.
• Willingness to deploy up to 50% of the time as required by mission needs.
• Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Requirements

• Masters in related field (International Relations, Military Strategy, Defense Studies) - Bonus points for this qualification.
• Graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) - Bonus points for this qualification.
• Experience within a US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Unit - Bonus points for this qualification.
• Experience deploying to the INDOPACOM AOR, with a deep understanding of the regional security landscape, operational challenges, and strategic goals - Bonus points for this qualification.
• Language proficiency in any of the INDOPACOM regions - Bonus points for this qualification.
• Language proficiency in the Chinese language (Mandarin or Cantonese) highly desirable - Bonus points for this qualification.
• Clearance: Possess and maintain a Secret clearance.
