Role Description

Terra-Gen is seeking a Manager to join its Corporate Risk Management department. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading independent power producers in the United States as Terra-Gen continues to expand its domestic portfolio of wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects. The Manager will report to the Director, Risk Management, and partner with departments across the organization to administer, monitor, and enhance existing risk management programs for comprehensiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Insurance Renewals: Manage the collection of underwriting information; review and analyze submission materials; and provide recommendations on the appropriate treatment of exposures. Ensure post-renewal documentation—including binders, policies, endorsements, and policy-posting materials—is collected, reviewed for accuracy, and distributed as needed.
• Liability Claims Management: Assist with the administration of claims under all policies, with primary responsibility for general liability, auto, and workers’ compensation claims. Coordinate with Legal, Human Resources, and adjusters throughout the claims process.
• Serve as the central point of contact for requests and issuance of Certificates of Insurance from internal and external stakeholders. Maintain and manage certificate issuance to counterparties following each annual renewal.
• Contract Reviews: Support Legal and Procurement by reviewing insurance requirements and advising on appropriate insurance provisions for various counterparties.
• Construction Financing: Support financing activities.
• Collaborate on the development of training materials for presentation to internal managers.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Stay current on risk management, insurance, and relevant industry trends.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; risk management and/or insurance designations preferred.
• 3 years’ minimum experience in related risk management role required; 3-5 years preferred.
• 7–10 years of underwriting or broker service experience and strong proficiency in liability lines, including general liability, auto, workers’ compensation, and umbrella coverage can be considered equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to work independently, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and prioritize effectively across multiple projects.
• Some travel required.
• Driving Required: Ability to drive vehicles on Company business and meet Company’s established Driving Criteria, including maintaining a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands

• The position is primarily sedentary and involves prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer or workstation.
• The employee regularly uses hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
• The position requires frequent communication and the ability to see and hear sufficiently to perform essential job functions.
• The employee may occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the office.
• Occasional lifting or carrying of office materials weighing up to 10 pounds may be required.

Work Environment

• The position is primarily performed in a standard office environment with a generally quiet to moderate noise level.
• The employee regularly works at a computer workstation and communicates with others in person, by telephone, email, and virtual communication platforms.
• Occasional travel within Company facilities or to other work locations may be required.
