Term Period: 12 months

Location: Remote Work


Position Summary:

The Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) & Knowledge Management will support project and program MEL efforts for the Global Community Engagement (GCE) team, including monitoring and analyzing Boost Community member and programming data, managing the Boost database, and supporting project evaluations. This position will also support the implementation and project management of activities for a large grant-funded project focused on zero-dose learning and will lead knowledge management efforts for that project.


This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge management and MEL experience, and a commitment to fostering data-driven learning. The ideal candidate will have experience working with MEL frameworks, managing databases, and supporting program implementation in global health or international development contexts.


Responsibilities:


Gavi Zero-Dose Learning Project Implementation & Knowledge Management (60%)

  • Support the project management and implementation of activities for a large initiative focused on zero-dose learning.
  • Develop and manage systems and processes for tracking learning agenda data, ensuring effective data collection, organization, analysis, and reporting.
  • Lead knowledge management efforts for the project, ensuring that learnings are captured, synthesized, and disseminated effectively.
  • Coordinate the development of project reports, briefs, and presentations, ensuring that findings are accessible and actionable.
  • Support the design of surveys and learning activities aligned with the project’s monitoring and evaluation framework.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) for Boost Community & Programs (30%)

  • Monitor, maintain, and routinely update Boost’s member and programming database with attention to data cleaning, validation, and continuous improvement of data management systems and processes
  • Gather and analyze member and programming quantitative data for routine program and project reports and new business development
  • Support ongoing development, maintenance, and visualization for Boost Results Framework and Key Performance Indicators
  • Gather and analyze member feedback (qualitative data) through annual surveys, participant surveys, focus groups, and other tools to surface community needs and insights and to support program evaluation and learning.
  • Contributes to project evaluations, including designing and implementing learning activities to assess program effectiveness.

Learning Engagements & Community Support (10%)

  • Contribute to the planning and facilitation of live and virtual learning engagements (e.g., webinars, training sessions, peer learning discussions).
  • Extract key insights and data from learning engagements to inform program improvements and demonstrate impact.
  • Provide technical and logistical support for new initiatives aimed at advancing Boost and GCE priorities.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings related to MEL and knowledge management.
  • Other duties as assigned 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (i.e., global health, public health, data management)
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to tailor approach toward the perspective of others
  • English proficiency, written and oral
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage complex tasks; highly organized, flexible, dependable and able to prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization, including the ability to synthesize and present findings clearly.
  • Strong proficiency in relational databases (e.g., Salesforce, Airtable) and MEL tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, NVivo, SurveyMonkey). Ability to work across the organization, building strong relationships with colleagues
  • Must demonstrate interest in furthering Sabin’s mission, superior service orientation
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally with notice

Preferences

  • Experience working in public health and/or grant-funded environment preferred
  • Knowledge of global health/development issues and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with immunization programs, global health stakeholders (e.g., WHO, Gavi, UNICEF), and/or zero-dose initiatives.
  • French proficiency preferred

Sabin’s philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased, equitable, competitive compensation and benefits. Using benchmarking and salary survey data, the starting annual salary for this position ranges from $87,000 - $105,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, certifications/degree. As a grant-funded organization, Sabin actively seeks funding for existing and new programs.
