Role Description

This is a remote position. The IRM Risk Consulting Manager leads the delivery of ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and broader governance, risk, compliance, audit, and resilience engagements for enterprise clients. The Manager works directly with client executives and stakeholders across risk, compliance, internal audit, privacy, cybersecurity, legal, finance, operational risk, business continuity, and technology. This role oversees discovery, planning, solution delivery, governance, issue resolution, and adoption while helping clients establish and mature sustainable risk and compliance programs enabled by ServiceNow.

This is a client-facing consulting and delivery leadership role that leads Architects and consulting teams, supports business development and account growth, and contributes to the continued development of Templar Shield’s ServiceNow Risk Consulting practice. The Manager is responsible for successful client outcomes, team development, and consistent delivery across assigned engagements.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience delivering ServiceNow, governance, risk, compliance, audit, resilience, cybersecurity, or enterprise consulting services.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and developing consulting teams, managing client engagements, or serving in a Manager, Senior Consultant, Architect, or comparable delivery-leadership role.
  • Experience leading enterprise ServiceNow IRM implementations or governance, risk, compliance, audit, third-party risk, business continuity, or operational resilience initiatives.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements or workstreams, including project teams, scope, budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, assessments, solution reviews, executive presentations, and governance meetings.
  • Strong understanding of governance, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, internal controls, policy management, audit, issue management, and remediation processes.
  • Experience translating business, regulatory, and operational requirements into implementation strategies, roadmaps, operating models, and scalable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Experience developing proposals, estimates, staffing plans, Statements of Work (SOWs), and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, relationship-management, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively with executive stakeholders and geographically distributed teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% based on client and business needs.

Requirements

  • Lead ServiceNow IRM and Risk Consulting engagements from discovery and planning through implementation, deployment, adoption, and post-production transition.
  • Develop a clear understanding of each client’s objectives, governance structure, regulatory obligations, operating model, risks, and program maturity to guide engagement strategy and delivery.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, assessments, design workshops, executive steering committees, project-status discussions, and governance meetings.
  • Ensure engagement deliverables meet client requirements, Statements of Work (SOWs), contractual commitments, approved budgets, schedules, and Templar Shield quality standards.
  • Manage delivery risks, scope changes, dependencies, and escalations while maintaining effective communication with client executives, project sponsors, delivery teams, and Templar Shield leadership.
  • Advise clients on governance, risk, compliance, internal audit, policy management, third-party risk, business continuity, and operational resilience practices.
  • Translate business, regulatory, and operational requirements into ServiceNow IRM strategies, maturity assessments, implementation roadmaps, future-state operating models, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Provide delivery oversight while Architects lead solution architecture and technical design, ensuring proposed solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Templar Shield and ServiceNow leading practices.
  • Guide clients in developing governance structures, risk taxonomies, control frameworks, assessment methodologies, compliance-monitoring processes, audit practices, issue-management processes, and remediation programs.
  • Review solution designs, process flows, workflows, integrations, dashboards, reporting strategies, implementation plans, and other key deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with client objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Architects and consulting team members through regular coaching, performance feedback, career development, and professional growth planning.
  • Coordinate resource planning, project staffing, workload allocation, and team assignments based on engagement requirements, resource availability, and individual capabilities.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and retention activities for Risk Consulting professionals.
  • Monitor engagement financials, budgets, utilization, resource capacity, schedules, delivery performance, contractual commitments, and client satisfaction across assigned engagements.
  • Establish and monitor engagement metrics to evaluate delivery quality, project health, team performance, and achievement of client outcomes.
  • Identify delivery, financial, resource, and client risks; develop mitigation plans and take timely corrective action when necessary.
  • Support consistent project governance, status reporting, forecasting, documentation, and delivery controls across assigned engagements.
  • Communicate engagement performance, significant risks, resource needs, and client concerns to the Director while supporting continuous improvement across consulting operations.
  • Support Practice Leads in identifying, qualifying, shaping, and expanding ServiceNow IRM and Risk Consulting opportunities within new and existing client accounts.
  • Participate in pre-sales discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, capability presentations, and executive discussions to understand prospective client needs and communicate Templar Shield’s value.
  • Contribute to solution approaches, staffing models, delivery plans, effort estimates, pricing inputs, proposals, Statements of Work, and responses to Requests for Proposals.
  • Help identify follow-on opportunities by maintaining strong client relationships, monitoring evolving client needs, and connecting those needs to relevant Templar Shield services and capabilities.
  • Strengthen the Risk Consulting practice by improving service offerings, implementation methodologies, delivery accelerators, demonstrations, templates, training materials, and reusable consulting assets.
  • Contribute to go-to-market activities, thought leadership, webinars, conferences, industry events, case studies, and other client-facing materials.
  • Provide Practice Leads with delivery insights, resource requirements, lessons learned, and client feedback that support opportunity planning, account development, and sales execution.
