[Hiring] Lead Systems Analyst @S Base Technologies

Role Description

The remote Lead Systems Analyst must have a healthcare and/or insurance background and 8+ years' experience in HL7 FHIR system.

• Guide BCBSA's five other Systems Analysts in generating HL7 FHIR data specific reports.
• Generate comprehensive data models and data exchange documents for long-term success.
• Convert older version 2 and version 3 HL7 data maps into FHIR.
• Perform ETL and move medical insurance claims data from older HL7 system into FHIR.
• Set standards with provided HIPAA-compliance information to internal technical teams.
• Provide verbal subject matter expert (SME) guidance in HL7 FHIR.
• Perform backend SQL scripting tasks; knowledge in XML, JSON, and Erwin is appreciated.
• No design or development experience required; system requirements relayed to internal BCBSA Ab-Initio development team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 8 years of IT work experience including application system design and implementation.
• Experience with SQL, XML, JSON, Erwin, HL7 formats including FHIR, Ab-Initio.
• Experience with HL7 data formats for Interoperability.
• Experience with Data Warehousing, Data profiling, Data Quality analysis, and Data Analytics.
• Minimum 3 years of data modeling experience with Postgres, DB2, or comparable.
• Effective at gathering and analyzing business requirements and creating system design specification documents.
• Demonstrated experience working within a complex team environment.
• Experience with reference data management/governance and end-to-end data lineage.
• Knowledge of multiple development methodologies.
• Strong collaboration, facilitation, and listening skills.

Requirements

• HL7 certifications for FHIR (preferred).
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
• Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, data quality, and security (preferred).
• Familiarity with BCBS and health care industry concepts (e.g., HEDIS, EHR) (preferred).
• Knowledge of Federal Employee Program (preferred).
• Familiarity with AWS (preferred).
