Role Description

Serves as a liaison between IT, Operations and the business line to analyze non-standard business and user needs, document requirements, and resolve complex system problems. Coordinates development and support for new and existing applications.

• Acts as a team leader for assigned projects.
• Partners with the business unit to develop a solid knowledge base of the business line, including the business plan, products, processes, and revenue streams.
• Coordinates business requirements definition, development, testing, implementation, and support for new and existing systems.
• Identifies, researches, and analyzes production problems, develops solutions, and coordinates resolutions.
• Oversees enhancements to maintain productivity and efficiency.
• Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and following policies and procedures.
• Ensures actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience.
• Achieves results by identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Qualifications

• Encompass Admin experience.
• Java and Visual Basic Knowledge for custom form code.
• Encompass advanced coding experience.
• Significant experience in communication and presentation.
• Broad understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
• Ability to present to senior leadership on sensitive subject matters.
• Ability to facilitate large groups toward the development of common solutions.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
• Proficient in Windows based software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).

Requirements

• Functions as the liaison between the business line, operations, technical areas, and software vendors throughout the project cycle.
• Acts as team leader for projects.
• Possesses strong knowledge of the business line, including the business plan, products, process, and revenue streams.
• Plays a key role in the planning, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and conversions.
• Ensures system enhancements follow appropriate guidelines, meet or exceed user requirements, and are completed in a timely fashion.
• Identifies system enhancements, documents business needs, and determines development impact to current system processing.
• Works with programmers and users to ensure accuracy of enhancements.
• Reviews operational procedures and methods and recommends changes for improvement with an emphasis on automation and efficiency.
• Provides input into the creation of detailed project plans, work assignments, target dates, and other aspects of assigned projects.
• Provides guidance and context in prioritizing and determining complexity of problems and requests.
• Partners with technical areas in the research and resolution of system and process problems.
• Completes complex system configurations.
• Influences leaders and peers across organizational lines to take action on strategic initiatives or process changes.
• Establishes a climate that encourages an open two-way channel of communication.
• Guides and trains less experienced team members through project work.
• Mentors less experienced team members.
• Reports regularly on progress against established project plans.
• Maintains manuals, standard business and status reports, technical training material, and reference material.
• Other duties as required.
