Role Description

Are you an experienced KYC, CDD, or AML professional who instinctively spots gaps in compliance reasoning and understands the real-world complexities of financial crime prevention? 10x.team connects expert freelancers with leading AI labs building next-generation models. We’re looking for experienced legal, compliance, and financial services professionals based in the EU or UK to strengthen the accuracy, depth, and practical application of AI-powered compliance tools.

What You Will Do

• Review and refine AI-generated outputs across KYC, CDD, AML, and financial crime compliance topics
• Evaluate AI responses for regulatory accuracy, business realism, and practical applicability (e.g., 4th/5th AMLD, JMLSG guidance, FCA frameworks)
• Draft realistic compliance scenarios based on your direct experience (customer onboarding, risk assessment, investigations, SARs)
• Create scenario variations from diverse perspectives (compliance analyst, MLRO, auditor, regulator)
• Identify gaps, weak logic, or oversights in AI-generated compliance reasoning

In simple terms: You will assess and improve AI-generated compliance content, ensuring it reflects authentic regulatory understanding, robust risk assessment, and real-world processes. Rather than conducting traditional compliance reviews, you’ll apply your expertise to help AI systems genuinely reason about KYC, CDD, and AML at scale.

Qualifications

• A senior compliance, legal, or financial crime specialist with significant experience in KYC, CDD, or AML within the EU or UK
• Background in legal consulting, compliance, in-house regulatory roles, or risk/audit
• Skilled at evaluating compliance processes and documentation
• Confident working independently and delivering structured, critical feedback
• Available for 8–20 hours per week, with prompt availability
