Role Description

The client is seeking a GIS Specialist Junior to assist with GIS mapping, data migration, and quality assurance activities related to transportation systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Linear Referencing concepts, ESRI tools, and GIS data maintenance. This role is best suited for candidates with foundational GIS experience who are looking to grow their expertise in transportation and roadway GIS environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of GIS experience
• Experience with Linear Referencing concepts
• Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Suite
• Experience with QA/QC and GIS data validation
• Experience with data migration and GIS data maintenance
• Understanding of cartography and map creation principles
• Ability to work with spatial and tabular datasets
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Requirements

• Support GIS mapping and cartography activities
• Assist in GIS data migration and maintenance tasks
• Perform QA/QC checks on GIS datasets
• Update and maintain roadway and transportation GIS data
• Work with ESRI tools for spatial analysis and mapping
• Support senior GIS specialists in project execution
• Prepare reports, maps, and GIS documentation as needed
