Role Description
The Islamophobia Awareness Officer is responsible for leading the university’s efforts to combat Islamophobia on campus. This role will involve:
- Tracking and responding to incidents of Islamophobia
- Defining and promoting awareness of Islamophobia
- Producing an annual Islamophobia report
- Delivering training to student unions and staff on how to identify, address, and prevent Islamophobia within the university community
Qualifications
- Experience in advocacy or community engagement
- Strong understanding of Islamophobia and its impact
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements
- Ability to collect, document, and monitor reports of Islamophobia incidents
- Experience in developing awareness campaigns and materials
- Skills in compiling reports and making recommendations
- Experience in designing and delivering training programs
- Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
