[Hiring] Insurance Solutions Associate @FNIC

Today - FNIC is hiring a remote Insurance Solutions Associate. 💸 Salary: unspecified 📍Location: USA

Role Description

Are you interested in starting a career in insurance while building practical business and professional skills? We’re looking for a motivated, curious, and dependable individual to join our team as an Insurance Solutions Associate in a part-time role designed to fit alongside college, technical education, or other career-development commitments. Through licensing preparation, job shadowing, hands-on assignments, and mentoring, you’ll learn how insurance professionals build relationships, support clients, identify appropriate business opportunities, and help protect what matters most. This position offers meaningful industry experience and a foundation for future growth based on performance, business needs, and available opportunities.

What's the work like? You will...

  • Prepare for and work toward a Property & Casualty insurance license, with the potential to pursue a Life & Health license.
  • Participate in structured training and development activities that introduce FNIC’s sales, service, operations, client experience, and risk-management practices.
  • Shadow professionals across the agency to understand sales, service, operations, client experience, and risk-management workflows.
  • Practice professional telephone, email, meeting, and business-writing etiquette.
  • Learn privacy, confidentiality, and information-security expectations for handling sensitive client and company information.
  • Explore how to identify ideal clients, make thoughtful business decisions, and build a sustainable book of business.
  • Learn how Production Agents develop professional relationships, networks, and centers of influence.
  • Use Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and scheduling or booking tools to communicate, collaborate, and manage work.
  • Strengthen time-management, prioritization, organization, and efficiency skills.
  • Build professional confidence through preparation, accountability, sound judgment, receptiveness to feedback, and Dress for Your Day expectations.
  • Assist with workflow support, projects, and other duties that contribute to team and agency goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a college, university, technical, trade, or career-development program is preferred but not required.
  • Ability and willingness to study for and obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for assigned business, client, community, or networking activities, when required.
  • Strong learning agility, curiosity, initiative, and willingness to receive feedback.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills.
  • Comfort using technology and the ability to learn Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and scheduling or booking tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and external contacts.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality in accordance with the agreed-upon work schedule, including timely communication when a schedule change or absence is needed.

Benefits

  • Flexible scheduling designed to support both business needs and academic or career-development commitments; work-from-home options may be available depending on assigned duties, performance, location, and company policy.
  • Potential paid time off eligibility based on the employee’s schedule and applicable plan terms.
  • Potential tuition reimbursement eligibility based on applicable program requirements.
  • Competitive Pay: We strive to pay our employees competitive market compensation.
  • Dress: Dress for your day – bring your whole self to work so you can be as comfortable at work as you are in your personal life.
  • Wellness: Mental health support and resources are available through our free EAP program. You can also stretch away the stress 24/7 by participating in workout classes (available to remote employees too!).
  • Fun working environment: Frequent company outings, food days, and fun competitions.
