[Hiring] Individual Giving and Donor Engagement Manager @Together for Girls

YDay - Together for Girls is hiring a remote Individual Giving and Donor Engagement Manager. 💸 Salary: usd 72,000 - 84,000 per year 📍Location: USA

Role Description

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Manager, Individual Giving & Donor Engagement to join our Development team at an exciting moment in TfG’s growth. This is a rare opportunity to help shape and build an Individual Giving program from its early stages, bringing your experience, ideas and fundraising expertise to an organisation with significant potential to grow its base of individual supporters.

With the Brave Movement continuing to grow as a powerful global network of survivors, advocates and organisations, alongside TfG’s wider profile and reach, there is opportunity to build new audiences and turn growing engagement into lasting relationships with individual supporters and donors. You will have scope to test, learn and shape what Individual Giving looks like at TfG, from audience development and fundraising propositions to campaigns, digital fundraising and donor journeys.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Development, you will implement and help evolve TfG’s Individual Giving strategy, manage day-to-day delivery, build the individual giving pipeline, track performance against agreed KPIs, and bring insight and recommendations that help shape our wider fundraising approach.

If you are excited by the prospect of building something, rather than simply managing something that already exists, this is an opportunity to make a significant mark on TfG’s next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Individual Giving Programme & Pipeline
    • Implement and help evolve the Individual Giving strategy, with a focus on audience growth, donor acquisition, conversion and retention.
    • Translate agreed strategy into annual individual giving plans, campaigns, fundraising propositions and donor journeys, including one-off and recurring giving.
    • Build and manage the individual supporter and donor pipeline, using CRM and audience data to segment, identify and nurture prospective donors.
    • Work with the Communications department to develop audience-building and fundraising approaches that convert engagement into individual giving.
    • Track and report on key performance indicators, including audience growth, donor acquisition, conversion, retention, income and ROI, using insights to recommend improvements.
  • Donor Engagement & Stewardship
    • Strengthen donor stewardship and engagement across the wider Development portfolio, working with relationship owners to deliver timely and consistent donor communications and touchpoints.
    • Identify opportunities to use organizational milestones, program achievements and impact stories for donor cultivation and retention.
    • Support the planning and delivery of donor cultivation events and other engagement opportunities.
  • Fundraising Communications & Content
    • Work with the Communications department to identify and develop donor-facing content and engagement opportunities that support donor cultivation and fundraising.
    • Support the development of donor-relevant stories, newsletters, digital content, pitch materials and campaign communications.
  • Project Management
    • Manage agreed individual giving and donor engagement projects from planning through delivery, coordinating timelines, milestones, inputs and follow-up.
    • Track performance, learning, risks and dependencies, escalating issues and opportunities to the Senior Director as appropriate.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience managing and growing a successful Individual Giving program within the nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful audience development, campaigns, donor journeys and/or digital fundraising.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders and deliverables.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence using data and performance indicators to inform fundraising decisions and improve activity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling fundraising propositions and donor-facing materials for different audiences.
  • Experience using CRM systems and donor databases to manage audiences, supporters and donor information.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and confidence working with colleagues, donors, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Development, Communications and program teams.
  • Familiarity with remote-first, asynchronous working.
  • Commitment to TfG's mission and values and to survivor-centred approaches to ending violence against children and adolescents.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with digital fundraising platforms, email marketing or online acquisition.
  • Experience working with individual philanthropists or mid-level donors.
  • Experience supporting donor events and stewardship programmes.
  • Experience working in an international nonprofit or global advocacy environment.
