Role Description
This role involves providing psychological care as a member of the EAP team, offering a 24/7 confidential support service via telephone, virtual, and face-to-face counselling for various issues.
- Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service.
- Assess and support people with common mental health issues in self-management and triage to psychological support.
- Undertake client-centred interviews to identify areas for change and assess risk.
- Provide daily access to in-the-moment support for clients wishing to speak with a low-intensity practitioner.
- Make decisions on the suitability of new referrals, adhering to referral protocols.
- Provide a range of information and support for clients entering the service, including self-help CBT.
- Provide supporting information to managers or key personnel within customer organisations as required.
- Adhere to an agreed activity contract regarding client contacts and clinical sessions.
- Attend multi-disciplinary meetings related to referrals or clients in treatment.
- Complete all requirements for data collection using CORE-Net as a clinical management tool.
- Keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols.
- Work closely with team members to maintain a stepped care approach to psychological support.
- Assess and integrate work and employment issues into the therapy process.
- Operate from an inclusive values base that promotes recovery and respects diversity.
Qualifications
- Diploma (minimum Level 4) in Counselling and/or Psychotherapy.
- Registered/Accredited Membership with BACP or similar (essential).
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Enhanced DBS (can be processed on your behalf if you do not have this).
Requirements
- Experience of working within the mental health / EAP field (desirable).
- Experience of providing psychological assessments using validated assessment tools (desirable).

Interview Process

- Short call with a member of the Talent team.
- An interview with colleagues from the Clinical team (1 hour).
