[Hiring] Healthcare Integration Engineer @LEAD North, LLC

Role Description

The Healthcare Integration Engineer is a key role responsible for understanding client needs, proposing tailored solutions, and solving complex interoperability challenges. This role requires a blend of InterSystems technical expertise, strong communication and customer service skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare workflows. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, IHE, FHIR, C-CDA, X12) to build scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a related field preferred.
• Hands on technical expertise with one or more of the InterSystems products (HealthShare, Health Connect, IRIS for Health, etc.).
• Understand healthcare IT landscapes, including EHRs, Payers, HIEs, and other healthcare systems.
• Knowledge of interoperability standards (HL7, IHE, FHIR, C-CDA, X12) and integration technologies.
• Strong programming skills in languages like Caché ObjectScript, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of InterSystems Caché and SQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).

Requirements

• Design, develop, and implement integration solutions based on technical requirements.
• Configure and maintain interfaces to ensure reliable data exchange.
• Map and transform data between different systems to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure integration solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Deploy integration solutions to production environments and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex software and connectivity issues.
• Identify and optimize integration performance bottlenecks.
• Adhere to security best practices and compliance regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, and other team members.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Work with clients to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
• Work independently, efficiently, and distraction-free from a home office environment.
• Adhere to a full-time, regular schedule unless otherwise communicated.
• Ensure consistent availability for co-worker and client communication, responding promptly to messages via apps, email, and phone.
• Remain HIPAA certified and complete all required internal training as assigned.
• Maintain accurate time-keeping records both internally and externally for clients, if applicable.
• Participate in internal innovation initiatives, including mentoring, individual learning paths, and internal projects.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Pursue certifications and training to improve technical skills.
• Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
