Reporting as an executive leader, this role owns the overarching vision, organizational architecture, and cross-functional strategies that ensure Motive maximizes commercial leverage, scales efficiently, and maintains robust operational controls across all business units.

This executive role requires a transformational leader and seasoned operator who pairs strategic sourcing expertise with executive presence. The ideal candidate will architect enterprise vendor relationships, modernize global workflows through world-class systems and processes, align executive stakeholders, and drive substantial bottom-line savings while enabling business velocity.

What you’ll do

  • Executive Leadership & Vision: Architect and execute Motive’s global procure-to-pay strategy across strategic sourcing, vendor management, purchasing operations, and continuous process transformation.
  • Commercial Strategy & Savings: Drive enterprise-wide cost savings initiatives and value creation by leading high-stakes profitability initiatives, commercial frameworks, and vendor portfolio strategies.
  • Key Deal Architect: Direct the negotiation strategy for critical, high-value vendor contracts, specifically across enterprise software, technology infrastructure, and global business services.
  • P2P Systems & Processes: Ensure P2P systems at Motive are best-in-class, designed to scale for growth both in volume and globally. Develop P2P processes to be efficient and automated by leveraging AI and other tools, while also maintaining compliance to public company level standards.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as a core partner to the C-suite, departmental senior leaders and key stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, IT, Legal, Security, Workplace, and G&A to enable strategic corporate priorities.
  • Scale & Governance: Establish enterprise-grade procurement policies, risk mitigation frameworks, and internal controls that safeguard the business while optimizing the employee experience.
  • Operational Excellence: Define and optimize the end-to-end intake, review, and governance model for enterprise-wide vendor onboarding and tool acquisition.
  • Data & Analytics: Establish advanced spend analytics, vendor performance scorecards, cycle-time tracking, and savings reporting for executive-level visibility.
  • Team Development: Build, mentor, and scale a world-class, high-performing global organization across procurement operations, accounts payable and strategic sourcing.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Direct departmental capital allocation, support department leaders in managing operating budgets, and ensure strategic cost discipline aligned with long-term financial goals.
  • Strategic Advisory: Serve as the principal executive advisor on procurement risk, vendor consolidation, trade-offs, and spend optimization.

What success looks like

  • Delivers enterprise-level savings and optimizes total cost of ownership across key global spend categories.
  • Establishes a highly responsive, business-enabling procurement engine that balances control with speed.
  • Implements robust, scalable systems and workflows that seamlessly support Motive’s global expansion.
  • Elevates vendor selection standards, executive-level negotiations, and end-to-end vendor lifecycle management.
  • Instills an accountable, data-driven operating culture with clear performance metrics across the P2P ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive executive experience leading global procurement, strategic sourcing, P2P, and other relevant operational functions.
  • Proven track record architecting enterprise vendor negotiations and delivering substantial, measurable savings at scale.
  • Deep experience overseeing software, SaaS, IT infrastructure, and complex indirect spend categories in high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated experience modernizing enterprise procurement technology stacks, policy frameworks, and operating models.
  • Track record of building strong partnerships with C-suite and executive stakeholders to align cross-functional priorities.
  • Extensive organizational leadership experience, with a proven ability to attract, build, and retain top-tier leaders and teams.
  • Executive-level communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with a track record of driving strategic consensus.

Preferred qualifications

  • Exceptional executive presence combined with a willing, hands-on strategic problem-solving approach.
  • Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced degree in business, supply chain, or finance preferred; relevant executive certifications are a plus.

Key traits
