[Hiring] Head of Poker @SiGMA Group

Role Description

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of SiGMA Poker Tour to take ownership of the strategy, growth and global development of SPT. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who understands the poker industry inside out and knows how to turn great live events into a strong, internationally recognised and profitable brand. You’ll lead the expansion of the tour across global markets, build relationships with casinos, players and commercial partners, oversee the player experience, and work closely with teams across SiGMA to make every stop a success.

What You’ll Do

• Drive the Growth of the Tour
  • Own the overall strategy and development of the SiGMA Poker Tour across international markets.
  • Build the annual tour calendar and identify new destinations and casino venues based on player demand, commercial potential and regulatory feasibility.
  • Develop SPT into a globally recognised live poker brand with a clear focus on sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Explore opportunities to grow the SPT brand beyond live events, including online poker and other revenue streams.
• Deliver an Outstanding Poker Experience
  • Oversee tournament structures, formats, buy-ins, guarantees and side events in line with market trends and player expectations.
  • Ensure a consistently high-quality experience across every tour stop, from registration and tournament play through to payouts, hospitality and VIP care.
  • Continuously improve the player journey and build strong repeat attendance across the tour.
• Build Casino & Industry Partnerships
  • Develop long-term relationships with casino operators, venues, gaming institutions and other strategic partners.
  • Lead commercial discussions and contract negotiations with casino and venue partners.
  • Work closely with Events and Logistics to ensure agreements, operational requirements and partner deliverables are executed successfully.
  • Identify new partnerships that can strengthen SPT's reach, player acquisition and commercial performance.
• Grow Sponsorship & Revenue
  • Work closely with the Commercial team to identify and secure sponsorship, partnership and branding opportunities.
  • Help develop new revenue streams across sponsorships, online poker, merchandise, hospitality and strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure sponsor activations are seamlessly incorporated across events, digital channels, influencer activity and VIP experiences.
• Build the SPT Community
  • Develop strong relationships with poker players, VIPs, influencers, streamers, operators, affiliates and other key figures within the poker community.
  • Grow a strong international network around the SPT brand.
  • Create memorable experiences for VIP players and partners before, during and after each event.
• Lead Global Tour Operations
  • Act as a key on-site leader at major SPT stops and travel internationally as required.
  • Work cross-functionally with Events, Logistics, Marketing, Social Media, Newsroom, Design, Media, Finance and Legal.
  • Ensure every tour stop delivers consistently against the SPT brand, operational standards and commercial objectives.
  • Oversee budgets, settlements, prize-pool requirements, contracts and post-event reporting alongside the relevant internal teams.
• Lead the Team
  • Provide leadership, structure and strategic direction to the SPT team.
  • Set clear objectives across operations, partnerships, tournament delivery, player management and marketing.
  • Develop processes and standards that allow the tour to scale effectively as it enters new markets.
  • Monitor performance and ensure key projects and tour milestones are delivered on schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience within live poker, poker tours, casino operations or the wider gaming industry.
• Excellent knowledge of poker tournament operations and the international poker ecosystem.
• A strong existing network across casinos, poker operators, players, influencers, affiliates and industry partners.
• Proven experience developing commercial partnerships and negotiating agreements.
• Strong commercial mindset with experience managing revenue, budgets and profitability.
• Experience delivering international events or multi-market projects.
• Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with significant global travel.
• Fluent English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
• Most importantly, a genuine passion for poker and the ambition to build SPT into one of the industry's most recognised international poker experiences.
