Role Description

This position will report to the Director of Global Strategic Sourcing and will lead global category management for Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO), with a focus on leveraging OEM spend across Tronox’s global sites to deliver value, reduce risk, and support operational reliability.

The role requires a procurement professional with MRO experience or a strong technical background, commercial acumen, and the analytical capability to translate spend, supplier, inventory, and market data into practical category strategies.

Working closely with Maintenance, Reliability, Operations, Engineering, Warehouse, and Supply Chain stakeholders, the successful candidate will lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives from strategy development through implementation.

  • Develop and implement global MRO category strategies aligned with the overall procurement strategy and Tronox business objectives.
  • Leverage OEM MRO spend across global sites to improve visibility, standardize where appropriate, aggregate demand, and identify strategic supplier opportunities.
  • Develop supplier strategies for strategic OEMs, distributors, and service providers that deliver value, strengthen supply assurance, reduce risk, and establish clear performance expectations.
  • Analyze spend, demand, supplier, inventory, market, and value-chain data to prioritize sourcing opportunities and support fact-based category decisions, including total cost of ownership and should-cost analysis.
  • Lead sourcing projects from scope definition through execution, managing priorities, resources, budgets, risks, timelines, and reporting to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, Operations, Warehouse, and Supply Chain stakeholders to balance cost, asset availability, inventory levels, and operational risk.
  • Challenge specifications where appropriate, linking technical requirements to business value and influencing stakeholders toward fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Execute the Source-to-Contract process, including sourcing approaches, fact-based negotiations, contract award recommendations, and implementation of negotiated agreements.
  • Establish category governance, savings tracking, supplier performance metrics, compliance reporting, and implementation follow-up to ensure strategies translate into measurable business value.
  • Build sustainable stakeholder and supplier relationships that support business objectives, procurement strategy, and long-term category performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline. (Mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and tools such as SAP and Coupa.
  • More than 10 years of procurement or related experience, preferably in category management, supplier management, or a related area, with a focus on Equipment, Maintenance, or a technical industrial domain.
  • MRO background, technical experience, or demonstrated ability to engage credibly with maintenance, reliability, engineering, and operations stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability, and ability to develop supplier strategies that deliver value, reduce risk, and support operational reliability.
  • Advanced data analysis capability, including the ability to interpret spend, demand, supplier, inventory, and market data and convert insights into actionable category strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management across executive and operational levels.
  • Experience leading organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong project management or other leadership experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25 percent.
