Role Description
The Training Manager, Commercial Learning & Development, will be instrumental in executing commercial training programs that enhance the effectiveness of sales and field support teams within cellular therapy and melanoma-related therapeutic areas. This role focuses on development and operationalizing training programs by delivering impactful product, sales, and leadership training to ensure the field team is prepared to meet commercial goals. This role will primarily support execution, facilitation and field pull-through of all commercial training initiatives while maintaining a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Engage with the RAD team to assess ride-along outcomes and determine how to improve training execution, in-field coaching, to enhance training effectiveness and sales impact.

Partner cross-functionally with CL&D, sales leadership, marketing, and medical affairs to ensure training translates into effective field execution and commercial success.

Utilize field intelligence and analytics to identify training gaps, emerging challenges, and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement of training programs.

Develop targeted coaching plans and reinforcement strategies to drive competency development and improve business outcomes.

Assist in coordinating and facilitating new hire onboarding and certification, ensuring alignment with the commercial curriculum.

Support ongoing learning initiatives by executing training programs informed by business needs, new clinical data, and product updates in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Provide support for workshops and training sessions during major meetings such as National Sales Meetings, POA rollouts, and other commercial events.

Support the creation, maintenance, and updates of training resources, including commercial resource libraries, SharePoint sites, and digital tools.

Assist in training records management by partnering with Quality, Legal, and HR to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.

Conduct learning needs assessments by gathering insights from field leadership, regional training liaisons, performance data, and field observations.

Provide recommendations to address learning gaps and support curriculum development in alignment with adult learning principles and business priorities.

Partner with CL&D and HR to support leadership development initiatives and training programs for field managers.

Ensure compliance requirements are integrated into all training initiatives, aligning with industry regulations and legal guidelines.

Apply best practices in adult learning methodologies to maximize training impact across live and virtual learning environments.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, education, life sciences, or a related field required.

Experience in sales or field roles with a deep understanding of sales models and sales pull-through strategies.

3 years in commercial training, sales training, or learning and development, preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.

5 years of oncology experience, particularly in melanoma or cellular therapy, with a strong understanding of the clinical and operational landscape.

Strong knowledge of in-patient hospital systems, stem cell transplant/cellular therapy decision-making, and payer coverage policies.

Ability to analyze field performance data and training impact metrics to assess sales effectiveness and optimize pull through strategies.

Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills in both virtual and in-person formats.

Proven ability to design and execute training initiatives aligned with adult learning principles.

Experience managing training platforms, learning management systems (LMS), SharePoint / Microsoft Teams, and content repositories.

Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize in a dynamic, start-up environment.

Requirements

Advanced degrees (MBA, MPH, EdD, DNP, PhD) or certifications in adult education, training, instructional design, or related areas.
