  • Partner with market access stakeholders and identify opportunities to support account objectives. Ensure accountability by establishing and tracking KPIs to assess progress against account plans, identifying gaps and opportunities, and adjusting field activities as needed.
  • Represent the company at key forums, including Medicaid meetings and clinical and managed care conferences, personally presenting data, attending scientific sessions, and fostering relationships within the managed care community.
  • Attend meetings with Market Access account directors, both independently and alongside HEOR Liaisons, to model best-in-class field engagement.
  • Serve as a resource and escalation point for internal stakeholders (e.g., Medical Affairs, Market Access) on the relevant therapeutic landscape, real-world evidence, and other clinical/HEOR data.
  • Lead the collection, synthesis, and reporting of U.S. payer insights across the team to guide internal planning and decision-making.
  • Own and contribute to the development of HEOR strategic and tactical plans for products in development and commercialized products across therapeutic areas.
  • Guide the development of payer value propositions, healthcare economic information (HCEI) materials, and State Medicaid testimonies, incorporating new clinical and HEOR information as appropriate.
  • Partner with Medical Information on dossiers to ensure HEOR data is appropriately incorporated into key medical materials.
  • Identify ongoing training and resource needs for the team and coordinate the development of plans with relevant stakeholders, including HEOR leadership, Medical Excellence & Training, and Market Access.
  • Contribute to strategic planning activities and internal Global Medical Affairs (GMA) initiatives.
  • Ensure team field work aligns with UT's mission, goals, strategies, and behaviors.
  • Address unsolicited medical and HEOR questions from payers and other external stakeholders with scientific accuracy, balance, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Monitor and summarize competitor HEOR strategies, value evidence, and RWE outputs, and communicate meaningful competitive insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Interview, select, and hire candidates for new HEOR Liaison positions and backfills as needed.
  • Partner closely with HEOR leadership to oversee all performance management activities for the team, providing regular feedback through joint field visits, analysis of activities, and administrative reviews.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, epidemiology, health services research, or related field with 10+ years of professional experience in HEOR, medical affairs, managed markets, health plan, or pharmacy benefit management, or
  • PharmD, PhD, or MD with 7+ years of professional experience in HEOR, medical affairs, managed markets, health plan, or pharmacy benefit management.
  • 3+ years of previous field-based HEOR experience with demonstrated excellence and leadership in the role.
  • Strong understanding of study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation of HEOR and clinical data.
  • Demonstration of leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to guide and influence senior internal and external stakeholders without formal authority; mentor, coach, inspire, and motivate others; lead projects and workstreams; think strategically; and manage high performance.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage in high-quality scientific dialogue with both U.S. payers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex HEOR and clinical data and provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skills in building and maintaining relationships in and outside of the company.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word for creating and presenting HEOR materials.
  • Driver License, Valid and in State.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%, both domestic and international.
