Role Description

The F2F Regional Director will provide a key leadership role in the growth and development of our face-to-face business. They will help to manage staff, launch new offices, and oversee successful fundraising campaigns for multiple national clients. This is a Regional Director-level role reporting to the National or Deputy National Face-to-Face Director.

Locations: This is a remote position. You should expect to travel between 10-15 days per month, on average.

Position Timeline & Advancement: This position is expected to begin in early 2027. Successful candidates will first complete a comprehensive 2–3 month Lead Director training period, which includes both in-office training and hands-on field experience. Promotion to Regional Director is contingent upon successfully fulfilling the responsibilities and performance expectations of the Lead Director role.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Impress Clients by Delivering Quality
    • Ensure each office in their region meets client deliverables on an ongoing basis.
    • Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly donor deliverables while maintaining donor quality.
    • Assess donor quality by donor retention.
    • Approach all work with the priority of β€œwow-ing” our client through professionalism, integrity, and achieving goals.
    • Write and edit daily and weekly project reports to clients.
  • Staff Management
    • Manage a team of 3-5 Offices and the Lead Canvass Directors (LDs).
    • Drive company-wide goals, including donor deliverables, donor retention, staffing, and Equity & Justice goals.
    • Conduct weekly planning meetings, check-ins, trainings, site visits, and formal staff evaluations.
    • Meet Lead and Deputy Director staffing goals, including BIPOC staffing goals.
    • Provide ongoing training to Lead Directors, including remote and regional trainings.
    • Travel to offices and work with Campaign Directors on the ground.
    • Ensure staff follow all health and safety protocols.
  • Office Management
    • Serve as the fundamental decision maker for success in your offices.
    • Work as a strategic partner with clients and the internal client success team.
    • Keep close attention to office deliverables and proactively identify problems.
    • Develop, review, and adjust office metrics using mathematics and company planning tools.
    • Coordinate office and program launch and shutdown logistics.
  • Training & Leadership Development
    • Run regular Lead Director and Deputy Director training.
    • Identify staff with leadership potential and develop plans for their advancement.
    • Ensure departmental goals for hiring and developing BIPOC staff into leadership roles are met.
  • Recruitment
    • Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions.
    • Ensure staff are developed and promoted from within the department.
    • Work with National Directors and Recruitment director to refine recruitment strategies.

Qualifications

  • Previous staff management and canvass experience.
  • Track record of equity and inclusion.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good balance of hands-on/hands-off as a staff manager.
  • Passion for progressive solutions to big problems.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel an average of 10-15 days per month.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to enforce health and safety rules across all operations without fail.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in issue and/or electoral campaigns with increasing responsibility over time.
  • Experience in non-profit fundraising.
