Role Description

PSI seeks an Associate, Fundraising that will support the fundraising department with administrative, operational, and data management/analytics responsibilities. The Associate position reports to the Director of Fundraising and serves functions across all the Fundraising departments, with an estimated split as follows:

• 50% LOE to Institutional Fundraising
• 30% LOE to Individual Philanthropy
• 20% other/TBD depending on the most urgent fundraising priorities

What You'll Do:

• Contribute to new business development by supporting the creation of proposals/pitches, capture planning, coordination, formatting, editing, research, drafting proposal sections, annexes, CVs, and past performance documentation.
• Provide administrative, logistical, and coordination support across fundraising functions—including individual gifts processing, individual donor communication, opportunity identification (webchecks), operations, project management, and event planning—under the direction of the Scale, Philanthropy, and Private Sector & Innovative Funding teams.
• Support data management and analytics by ensuring effective use of Salesforce, including data entry, task tracking, reporting, and producing data-driven insights and presentation materials.
• Support data-driven and strategic fundraising analysis, including online research to conduct pipeline, funder, and competitor analyses for internal and Board audiences.
• Lead smaller proposals, concept notes, and fundraising projects (internal capacity building, process improvement, etc.).

Less than 10% international travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field.
• At least 3 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.
• Knowledge of international development, international donor priorities and/or health areas preferred (such as FCDO, Gate Foundation, USG, corporate and foundation donors).
• Familiarity with structure, content, and compliance elements of proposals to institutional donors and foundations (such as Gates Foundation, World Bank, FCDO, etc.).
• Knowledge of Salesforce, and its role in fundraising pipelines and donor management.
• Proficiency in analyzing fundraising data and creating reports or dashboards using Excel, Salesforce, or other tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to think creatively and approach tasks or problems in a new or different way.
• Ability to write clearly and persuasively, adapt tone to different audiences, and proofread for accuracy and clarity.
• Capable of producing high-quality, error-free work in written documents and data entry.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail. Able to balance multiple projects, wear multiple hats, and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment.
• Ability to independently manage tasks and lead smaller projects or proposals with minimal oversight.
• Excellent collaboration, customer service, relationship building/management and consensus building skills. Able to respond calmly and confidently in any situation.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Office 365.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Fluent in English required; Professional working proficiency in French required.

• Salary ranges for this position: $60,000 (minimum) - $71,000 (midpoint) - $82,000 (maximum).
