[Hiring] Evidence to Influence Advisor @World Vision

2d ago - World Vision is hiring a remote Evidence to Influence Advisor. 💸 Salary: unspecified 📍Location: Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Western Asia (Middle East)

Role Description

The Evidence to Influence Advisor is a strategic role within Advocacy & External Engagement, established to drive World Vision's evidence-based policy influence agenda. This position is responsible for:

  • Curating and producing evidence products from in-house data systems such as AIM (Advocacy Impact Measurement) and CVA (Community Voice and Action).
  • Translating evidence into compelling influencing products.
  • Gathering external intelligence to identify policy influencing opportunities.
  • Building the capacity of identified stakeholders to engage effectively in advocacy and policy processes.

This role supports regional and field offices to embed unified, data-driven advocacy—grounded in children’s voices—into national strategies and integrated programming frameworks.

It ensures that advocacy is prioritized, intentional, and aligned with a clear set of partnership-wide advocacy child results that drive accountability, coherence, and influence.

Through hands-on advisory support, the position strengthens the integration of advocacy across strategies, programmes, and evidence systems, enabling National Offices to move from dispersed efforts to high-impact, results-driven policy and systems influence at scale.

By fostering strategic partnerships and improving the consistency of advocacy monitoring and learning, the role contributes to positioning World Vision as a leading, trusted Christian, child-focused humanitarian organisation.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Public Policy, International Development, Political Science, Research Methods, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrable experience producing policy briefs, evidence reports, and influencing products for policy audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in data systems such as AIM, CVA dashboards, or similar monitoring platforms to generate evidence.
  • Experience in stakeholder capacity building, training design, and facilitation.
  • Strong political economy analysis skills and familiarity with policy influencing strategies at national and international levels.
  • Fluency/high level of professional and technical spoken and written English.
  • Fluency in another language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese) is an added advantage.

Requirements

  • This is a remote/homeworking position within a globally distributed team spanning Nepal, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Kenya.
  • The role may occasionally require flexibility in working hours to accommodate meetings and collaboration across multiple global time zones.
  • The role requires the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures, geographies, faith traditions, and time zones.
  • The successful candidate will possess excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • The position requires the ability and willingness to travel nationally and/or internationally up to 15% of the time, approximately 2-3 times per year, with trips typically lasting up to one week.

Major Responsibilities

  • Evidence Product Development Using In-House Data:
    • Curate, analyse, and produce structured evidence products from World Vision's in-house data systems.
    • Produce regular evidence briefs, dashboards, and synthesis reports that package in-house data into actionable formats.
  • Translation of Evidence into Influencing Products:
    • Transform evidence data into compelling advocacy and influencing products for targeted policy audiences.
    • Collaboration with communications and external engagement teams to amplify evidence-based messaging.
  • Gathering Intelligence to Identify External Influencing Opportunities:
    • Proactively monitor the external policy environment to identify and prioritise opportunities for World Vision to influence policy outcomes.
    • Produce regular intelligence briefs and policy landscape scans to inform advocacy planning.
  • Capacity Building of Identified Stakeholders:
    • Design and deliver capacity building programmes for National Office staff, partners, and community advocates.
    • Facilitate learning events, workshops, and peer exchange to strengthen advocacy and policy influencing competencies.
