Role Description
This role involves contributing to the Terex Sustainability Management Team as an Environmental Sustainability Specialist.
- Manage and review data collection for CO2e (Scope 1, 2, and 3)
- Compile recurring reports and work with sustainability committees
- Provide guidance and training on environmental sustainability topics
- Lead or assist in sustainability projects, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability efforts
- Gather and analyze environmental data to assess sustainability performance
- Maintain environmental metrics, including carbon footprint analysis and sustainability KPIs
- Manage the total company environmental compliance calendar and perform regulatory monitoring
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
- Conduct environmental audits and inspections
- Oversee the application, renewal, and management of environmental permits
- Develop, implement, and update environmental policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and prepare reports for regulatory agencies
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and recommend improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field from accredited college/university preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in environmental compliance and/or environmental sustainability
- Experience working with cross-functional teams regionally or globally across multiple functions
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken across cultures, time zones, and styles
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of environmental compliance and sustainability best practices globally
- Proven track record of successful project management and deployment to deliver results
- Advanced data analytics capabilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with global teams in a matrix reporting environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
